Date Your Husband/Significant Other

Sometimes as moms we can get busy with taking care of the kiddos to remember to enjoy dating our husbands/significant others. It is important to maintain that relationship and to have adult conversations and communication with one another. I will be the first to admit that we have not been the best at “dating”, but I am hoping once baby is here we can sit down and figure out a “date” schedule that will work for us.

Dates can be tricky to coordinate but I think having a goal of in home and outside of home dates helps create a priority which in turn makes it happen more often than not.

Here are some fun and easy ways  to “date” your husband/SO.

  1. Take the time to sit down and watch a show together maybe make it a little special with wine or an ice cream treat

  2. Go to a movie

  3. Go to dinner

  4. Go watch the sunset or sunrise at the park or even in your back/front yard!

  5. Go on a walk together

  6. Do something festive (pumpkin patches, Christmas lights, swim together, etc).

  7. Go to concert

  8. Coffee Talk

  9. Coke/ice cream Date… take trip to sonic, an ice cream shop and get a quick treat with one another.

  10. Go to a museum, art gallery, or even the zoo!

I will say I personally prefer not seeing a movie/watching a show more often than because you don’t get a lot of talking in on those types of dates. I think communication and chatting is important in a relationship. I think this can depend on you + your husbands/SO love language.
