Trust & Believe

A while back, my husband and I were arguing about something, and I quite honestly cannot remember! Our son was only a couple of months old at the time, and here we are today with 2 more babies! (So it's been a while haha!)

I wanted to share with you this little story of mine in case you are ever feeling in doubt and lost.

Arguments and having our different opinions are so important in relationships. It's what builds your beliefs, your values and expressing them is also key for communication. Like so many other husbands and wives/couples, there can be tension when arguing. It can grow and grow, and can seem heavy and overwhelming. Arguing creates stress and anxiety. The levels can go way up in our systems and we are unable to control what we think and say! It can be very hard to bite your tongue and not argue back.

In the midst of our argument, I’m crying. Upset, I rush over to our kitchen. It’s something I tend to do when I’m nervous/sad. I like doing the dishes or just washing my hands. Running them under some hot water feels good and allows me to focus and stay in the present moment. I don’t want my thoughts to go places I don’t want them to go and regret saying things because I “lost” it. It can be hard to stay focused, but as I walked into my kitchen, for some reason, something made me open up one of our kitchen cabinets! I opened it and out fell a tiny piece of paper. It literally fell out as if someone threw it out of the cabinet onto the counter. I open it, and started reading what was written.

My vows.

My wedding vows that I wrote down on this tiny piece of crippled paper that I had tucked into my bouquet of flowers years ago. I couldn’t believe in the midst out of argument, a paper appears with my wedding vows.

It was a sign from God. God letting me know, reminding me that through good and through bad, we promised each other we would always be there. To help each other and to love each other. From that moment, I felt a weight come off my shoulders.

Breathing and allowing each person to explain their point of view without overreacting and arguing. God is with us every single day. Trusting and believing in Him, in ourselves, in our couple, in the power to overcome any situation or argument together. We are one, we are strong, we are made for each other no matter the ups and downs life can bring us. He was there to kindly remind me of that, and I felt the need to share it with you, mama. He is there listening and guiding us, remember that!

Vanessa V

Hey y’all! I’m Vanessa! A stay at home mama to three beautiful children!

Here’s a little about me; I’m French Canadian, my family is my everything, I love music, food, Fall and Winter, Mother Hood, country music, books and art!

From Montréal Quebec, I graduated from Fine Arts at Dawson College in 2008. Art is what kept me focused and helped me grow into the woman I’ve always envisioned myself to be.

On my Instagram page, I like to share fun learning through play activities and crafts for my children and yours! I love to encourage children’s development through play!

I Have an Etsy Shop where I share and create Resin art for children and Sensory boxes! I am also a self-published children’s book author, which you can also find in my shop!

So here I am, candidly sharing with you my art, crafts and learning through play activities I do with my children.

Motherhood has transformed me into the best possible version of myself. My children are my blessings, a God sent gift; they are the reason I push myself every single day, to be a better version of myself for them and to my family, but mostly to myself.

Have a beautiful day mamas❤️

Cheers!
